She was weighed down by the sand, so I brought her home, with her riding on my left hand all the way home in the car, cleaned her up carefully, and let her bask in the sun in our sunroom.
After a few hours, she was flexing her wings, so I took her outside in the backyard and she graced our day with her trust and beautiful wings.
Eventually, she was strong enough to continue on her journey.
A magical experience.
